The tropical Anthurium Plowmanii 6" is a light loving beauty with deep green, glossy leaves that appear leathery. The leaves are long with ends that are ruffled in a wavelike manner. Also known as the Plowmanii Fruflles or Bird's Nest Anthurium, its leaves form rosette and spread out laterally like a banana tree.
In nature, the Anthurium Plowmanii grows off trees so it can survive like an air plant without soil. We suggest planting in a mix of orchid soil with good drainage. It likes water but it will do better if you let it dry out between watering. Despite its tropical nature, it does well in low humidity homes.
Pick a location in your home where the large leaves can fan out. It will be an anchor to your collection and it is quickly becoming one of the most popular plants next to the Monstera deliciosa.
