Rattlesnake Calathea
The Rattlesnake Calathea (Calathea lancifolia) is a decorative perennial with long, green spotted waxy leaves with deep purple undersides that can grow up to 30" tall. A popular houseplant, the Rattlesnake Calathea comes from Brazil's rainforests, which grow in moist, wet, and humid climates.
As an indoor plant, it thrives in bright, indirect light and moist soil with misting and humidity (take it in the shower with you!). Keep in temperatures between 60-75 degrees.
Sold in the grower's original container, so we highly recommend you purchase a new container for your Calathea. Our suggestion would be to pick a pot with drainage to allow the roots to dry. Try the Gemstone cylinder from Momma Pots or a pot from the Chive Collection. Both lines have predrilled holes and matching saucers to catch excess water.
