Umbrella Plant
The Umbrella Plant (Schefflera Arboricola), also called a Dwarf Schefflera or Octopus Tree is a relatively easy-to-maintain tropical plant making it extremely popular. The shape of the leaves circling the stem give the Umbrella Plant its common name.
The Dwarf Schefflera is characterized by smaller, glossy leaves that can be variegated and gracefully droop off a central stem with multiple leaves. A mature Umbrella Plant can be up to 12-15 feet tall and does best in bright, indirect light.
Water regularly and keep the soil moist by planting in a well-draining planter with a drainage hole. The Schefflera loves humidity so mist it, or place a tray of rocks with water under your plant.
